Why Casey Can't Win
With all the comments I've read from the left, I just had to comment.
Here's why Casey can not win - Campaigns that run an anti-whoever do not win. I honestly can not think of one off the top of my head. I'll give you a few examples off the top of my head:
Dole - the anti-Clinton campaign
Kerry - anti-Bush campaign
When running for office, you have to give the people a vision and a reason to vote for you. Santorum has that. Casey does not. What is Casey's campaign about - "I'm not Rick Santorum." Big deal, tell us something we didn't already know. These I'm not so-and-so campaigns are mostly negative, have no vision, and really give no one a reason to vote for the candidate. Who wants to support a cause, or non-cause really, based on negativity? Not me. People want a positive vision, a positive message, something to believe in. Compare these two candidates and it becomes clear that Casey's campaign will end the same way that Dole's and Kerry's did - people won't know what it was about except that is was against the incumbent. That is why I call these campaigns Seinfeld campaigns - they are campaigns about nothing.

post a commentThere is another key test for Santorum to show who he really is, and earn the support of his base. Senator Tom Coburn of Oklahoma, known by the establishment as Senator Train Wreck, is going to try to stop each and every ear mark (pork) in the coming budget. Will Santorum work with his comrades in leadership to make Coburn's life hell, or will he fight the good fight and help Coburn do what is right? Any conservatives on here want to predict what he'll do?
Ricky will do what ever he dicides will win him an election. Anybody what to lay money on it.
Ricky is no longer running as a conservative G.O.P. party member, he is running to line his own pockets as well as the rest of the state G.O.P. and for that matter the Dem's also. Good politicians with integrity are few and far between.
So wrapped up about Casey, but my vote is going to John Featherman in the primary.
You may not even get the chance to go after Bob, Ricky
Ricky needs the pork to win, given what he has been saying lately and his new found P.C.ness I would bet
he'll help give Coburn hell.
